Nikka Coffey Set

This set brings together four of Nikka’s flagship bottlings, crafted using their iconic Coffey still. The grain whisky is sweet with a toffee-like richness while the malt whisky is creamy and grain-forward. The vodka is smooth with zesty hints, and the gin delivers a vibrant citrus punch, with yuzu balanced by the sweetness of apple.

First encountered by founder Masataka Taketsuru during his time in Scotland, Coffey still is valued for preserving the natural flavors of the ingredients and creating a signature creamy texture, despite its operational challenges and lower efficiency. The key to Nikka’s legacy, Coffey still exemplifies both the craftsmanship and versatility of this unique distillation method.

Nikka Coffey Malt (70cl, 45% ABV)
While many distilleries reserve their Coffey stills for grain whisky, Nikka uses theirs to craft malt whisky as well. Made from 100% malted barley, this whisky is matured in used casks to enhance its rich maltiness and develop a silky texture.

Nikka Coffey Grain (70cl, 45% ABV)
This signature grain whisky is primarily made from corn and distilled in a Coffey still. It’s matured in re-filled, remade, and re-charred American oak casks, which impart the sweet and mellow character of Coffey distillates.

Nikka Coffey Gin (70cl, 47% ABV)
Distilled on the same Coffey Still using a base of barley and corn, this spirit is crafted with a selection of botanicals and Coffey distillates, including four types of Japanese citrus (Yuzu, Kabosu, Amanatsu, and Shequasar), traditional gin botanicals, apple and Japanese Sansho pepper.

Nikka Coffey Vodka (70cl, 40% ABV)
The key to this spirit lies in the quality of the Coffey distillates and the precision in blending. Made from a blend of corn and malted barley, each distilled separately into batches with slight variations in ABV and flavor profile, then expertly blended and refined through white birch charcoal.
