Launched in 1995, the 10-year-old became part of the distillery’s core lineup, maturing primarily in bourbon barrels which impart a fruity and floral character. Despite being well-regarded, it was eventually phased out in favor of the 12-year-old expression and officially discontinued around 2015, as Suntory faced stock shortages due to the soaring demand for Japanese whisky.
Notably, this particular release features a bottle cap adorned with a flower crest, a label found on Suntory bottles until at least 2004.
