Suntory’s flagship single malt, Yamazaki, is a masterful blend aged in American, Spanish, and Japanese Mizunara oak, with about 80% matured in sherry butts. The result is a complex profile balancing sherried fruitiness with incense-like sandalwood aromas from Mizunara oak. Among its range of offerings, Yamazaki 18 received high acclaim in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible, praised as “probably one of the best whiskies in the world for its strength” and “brilliantly and sexily balanced.”

NOSE

Raisins and bitter orange, enhanced by sherried undertones.

PALATE

Spicy ginger with allure of Japanese incense and sandalwood, gently mellowed by dark chocolate and luscious stewed fruits like blackberry and strawberry.
